(Football players) - 2014

This friday is the APPA photobook day. We will be there with a range of publications, come out and say hi, bring a friend and support printed matter.
“Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive is proud to present the Melbourne Now Photobook Day taking place at the National Gallery of Victoria on March 7.
Throughout the day at the NGV International Community Space around 30 local photographers will show and talk about their photobooks.
We will feature renowned local photographers, printers, publishers, editors and makers sharing their photobook wisdom, as well as the opportunity to make your own photobook in free bookmaking workshops run by Paperlab.
nb. If you’d like to make a book on the day - bring images with min 3cm borders all the way around - on A5 size paper - any sort of paper is fine.
Visitors are also welcome to bring their own photobooks to share, and (if they wish) donate a copy to the archive.
We are excited to announce the following will be taking part in the day:
Paperlab.co
Perimeter Books
M.33
Unless you will
Hard Workers Club
Hillvale
Dawn Press
Bloom Publishing

Hardworking homie & all round zine guru Lloyd Stubber has pulled together and created a new publishing entity - Bloom Publishing. Don’t sleep on this, we ain’t.

Division of Vision is the first title from the Melbourne based publishing house, Bloom. The publication kicks off the first of the ‘Old Mates’ series, where each title will feature work from two longtime photographer companions.

Made up of images from Lloyd Stubber and Jay Dymock, the title follows the artists’ view on each of their current residing cities - Melbourne and Perth. Where, despite the 3000 kilometers between them, it’s not all that different.

The 44 page, risograph printed, A5 title is released as a single edition of 150 - first 50 copies signed by artists.

The launch will take place on at Backwoods Gallery, Friday February 21st 6-9pm and is a one-night-only affair. There will be prints for sale, along with the zine and free Sapporos for all!
